Pork Chops with Apples

Submitted by: LUVMY2XX

Introduction

You can eliminate the butter if you like, you'll still have a great dish! Also, if you prefer not to cook with wine, you can just use the whole can of chicken broth. Ingredients

    4 Boneless Pork Chops
    1 Medium White Onion
2 Medium Apples (I used Fuji)
    2 Tbsp Olive Oil
    1 Clove Garlic, Minced
    1/4 Cup White Wine
    1 Cup Chicken Broth
    1 Tbsp Butter

    Salt and Pepper to taste.

Directions

Heat oil and garlic in large skillet over medium high heat until garlic starts to sizzle.

Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper. Add pork chops to pan and brown evenly on both sides.

While pork chops are browning, slice onions. Core and Halve, core, and slice apples.

Once pork chops are browned, add apples and onions to the pan. Cook for 15 minutes, until onions and apples are soft and lightly browned.

Remove all ingredients from pan and place in a warm serving dish. Drain excess fat. Use wine to deglaze pan, making sure to scrape up any brown bits. Add chicken broth. Reduce until sauce like consistency. Add butter. Stir until butter is melted. Pour sauce over pork chops, apples and onions.

Makes 4 servings.
