Introduction

my friend rhonda gave me this recipe. this is delicious and really easy. my friend rhonda gave me this recipe. this is delicious and really easy.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 12oz package frozen southern style hashbrown potatoes
    (regular or obrien)
    1 stick of light butter or margarine
    1 can cream of mushroom soup (healthy request)
    8 oz light sour cream
    2 tbsp dehydrated minced onion (or 1/4 cup fresh minced onion)
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1/4 cup crushed cornflake crumbs or panko style crumbs
    1 cup reduced fat grated cheddar cheese

    (you can adjust any ingredient to be lower fat if you choose, such as substitute nonfat sour cream and / or cheese, and margarine for light butter)

Directions

spray large casserole pan with cooking spray. pour in potatoes and sprinkle with onions and garlic powder. melt the stick of butter and pour over the potatoes. in a seperate bowl, combine the sourcream, soup, and cheese. spread evenly over the potatoes. sprinkle the top with the bread / cereal crumbs. bake at 350 F for one hour. 10 servings.
