Rumbamel's Diet Soda Brownies with Walnuts

Submitted by: RUMBAMEL

Introduction

I've been exploring different combinations of the diet sodas and cakes or brownies lately. I love chocolate and nuts! Walnuts are also one of the super foods, so why not put it all together? This uses brownies with Splenda, diet Shasta rootbeer and walnuts, that's it! The second time I used grape diet Shasta! Ingredients

-1 entire box of Pillsbury Reduced Sugar Milk Chocolate Brownie Mix
-1/2 c chopped walnuts (I use Diamond) (my weight was 65g)
    -1/2 can Diet Shasta Rootbeer

Directions

--Pour all ingredients into a medium sized bowl and whisk for about 30-45 seconds until mixed. Pour into a lightly sprayed 9 x 13 glass dish and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees until center is done. My first batch came out a little gooey when I used a whole can, but tasted good. I got good reviews from several, but will try it next time with less soda. The second time I used grape Shasta and stirred in 4 oz at first. It looked the correct consistancy, but I poured in two more ounces to make a 1/2 can, it looked too soupy, but it turned out great. The edges were crispy and the insides moist. I had to stop myself at three!

--Makes 24 servings.

--Enjoy!
