Sarah's Sheppard Pie (lower calorie)

Introduction

This is a great item for when you are hungry and just want some meats and potatoes. This is a great item for when you are hungry and just want some meats and potatoes.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Ground beef, potato, onion, carrots, beef boullion, butter, milk, garlic salt, onion salt, salt, and pepper.

Directions

Put potatoes in a pot to boil and begin cooking. Next sautee onions, and carrots together with 3 tablespoons butter until the carrots are tender.

Once the carrots are tender, add your hamburger and brown the meat with the onions and carrots. Once the meat is brown completely add your garlic salt, onion salt, pepper and full can of beef broth. Let simmer for ten minutes.

Then your potatoes should be done. When the potatoes are soft add your sour cream, salt, and chives and mash them.

When the hamburger meat mixture should be done simmering. Drain the meat and put in glass rectangular dish and put your mashed potatoes on top using a fork to smooth and leave ridges on the top so the potatoes can brown.

Put in oven at 350 for an hour or until the potatoes on the top are a golden brown.
