Apple Clafoutis

Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 tbsp butter or margarine
    6 cups pared and sliced apples
    1/2 cup milk
    1/3 cup all purpose flour
    1/4 cup sugar
    3 eggs
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp ground cinnamon or to taste.

Directions

In frying pan, melt butter over medium heat. Saute apples until tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Arrange apple slices in greased 2 quart shallow baking dish.

In blender or food processor, blend all other ingredients until smooth.

Pour batter over apples, separating slices with fork and allowing batter to flow between.

Bake at 350F for 45 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean. Serve warm.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.
