Ed's Amts in a Tree

Ingredients

    Barilla Pasta Whole Grain Spaghetti Thin, 1 13.25 oz box
    Ground beef, extra lean, 1.4 lbs
    Garlic, 2 Clove2
    Fresh Ginger Root, 1" piece
    Soy Sauce, 1/4cup
    Onions, raw, 1 medium
    Scallions, raw, 6 large
    8 waterchestnuts
    Sesame Oil, 1 tbsp
    *Canola Oil, 2 tbsp

Directions

Boil pasta per box directions. When ready (al dente) rinse thoroughly with cold water. Return the pasta to its pot and mix with sesame oil thoroughly. Keep burner on low to keep warm.

While pasta is cooking, place canola oil in wok and heat until it begins to smoke. Saute onions, ginger and garlic until the onions are soft and beginning to become crisp.

Add extra lean ground beef to onion/garlic mix and saute until fully browned. Be careful that the meat does not clump.


When all meat is brown lower heat to medium and add the soy sauce and coarsely chopped water chestnuts.

Mix thoroughly.

Add spaghetti to meat and onion mixture and mix thoroughly.

Garnish with chopped scallions. Mix fully.
