Introduction

I use Vanilla Yogurt instead of mayo to make it a healthier, lighter salad. This was always my favorite salad for Thanksgiving and my mom still makes it for me! I use Vanilla Yogurt instead of mayo to make it a healthier, lighter salad. This was always my favorite salad for Thanksgiving and my mom still makes it for me!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    3 medium, tart apples
    1/2 cup walnut pieces
    1/2 cup raisins
    1/2 cup low fat vanilla yogurt

Directions

Dice apples, mix everything into a bowl. Some people add celery, the traditional recipe calls for mayo, if you wanted you could use a low fat or fat free mayo. Mixing fat free with yogurt makes it taste better.

You could also use pecans, dried cranberries, there are a number of variations for this salad!
