Ingredients

    2 eating apples
    1 tbsp sweetener
    tsp cinnamon
    1 tbsp water
    35g wholemeal flour
    35g porridge oats
    35g butter or margarine
    2 tbsp sweetener

Directions

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 5 / 190C / 375F.
Peel, core and dice the apples. Place in a saucepan with the sweetener, cinnamon and water and simmer until the apples are soft.
Meanwhile, place the flour and oats in a bowl and mix well. Cut the margarine or butter into small cubes and add this to the flour mixture. Mix with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add the sweetener and mix thoroughly.
Place the apples in an ovenproof dish and cover with the crumble mixture. Bake for 20 minutes until the crumble is golden.
