Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 boneless pork chops
    1/2 c. chopped onions
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    2 tbsp. Splenda Brown Sugar
    3/4 c. water
    3/4 c. ketchup
    Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

Cook onions in oil until lightly brown. Add other ingredients. Cover and simmer about 20 minutes. Put pork chops in crock pot and cook 8-10 hours with sauce. Serve hot.

(Note: To make pulled pork for salads or sandwiches, remove pork from crock pot and tear into pieces. Sauce can be used in lieu of barbecue sauce, very flavorful.)

I substituted turkey breast chops and no salt ketchup to meat our dietary needs. It's excellent. We love this meal. - 12/7/08

  • very good but as it was pointed out, the calorie count doesnt include the pork. Easy, and uses ingredients that i always have in the pantry. my family loved it! - 9/6/08

  • I'm making this tonight for the second time, loved it - the pork was so tender. I swapped the ketchup for fresh tomatos and left out the Splenda. Not having a crock pot, I cooked on the stove top, then the oven for a few hours, cooled and refridgerated it, then ate it the next night! Yum - 9/3/08

Very good, except your ingredients list that you used to calculate calories does not include the pork. Otherwise wonderful flavor, everyone in my house enjoyed it very much. - 7/13/08

  • DELICIOUS!! And oh-so simple, too! (A good combo in this household.) I used pork chops from Costco's meat department and hoagie rolls and it turned out AWESOME! Thanks so much! - 5/30/08

I served the pork over rice and it was excellent. I agree that the calorie count sounded too low. If you don't eat all the BBQ sauce (which you won't) I don't think its that far off. - 4/30/08

  • I thought this was excellent. Made a lot more than the recipe called for and froze it for later. :) - 4/15/08

  • This sounded really good, but the nutritional info sounded a little off, so I entered everything exactly as the recipe says into the recipe calculator and it was sooo off!! This has 393 calories, 22.4 fat, and 682 sodium!!! The facts were so misleading, I just thought I should let everyone know... - 4/13/08

  • Delicious! I didn't have Splenda, so I used 2 tbsp of white sugar and 2 tbsp of molasses. I doubled the chili powder and added 1/2 tsp thyme, 1/2 tsp ginger, and 1 tbsp honey. I also added carrots and potatoes. The changes jacked up the calories a bit (especially the potatoes), but it was so yummy. - 4/7/08

  • We loved this recipe . It was easy and tasted great very tender pork . My family all loved it. I would definetly make it again and soon ..the recipe doesnt state a setting for your crockpot but since it said 8-10 hours . We set it on low . I think this could be ready in about 6-8 hours though. - 4/7/08

  • This was really good, I made it yesterday! My husband really liked it, and the house smelled good all day. The only thing I dont like is having to do the onions before because I think that defeats a the concept of a crock pot meal. Any suggestions for putting veggies in the crockpot to cook?? - 4/1/08

  • I made this today, but cooked it 5 hours on high and turned out great! I also added potatoes and carrots and took the meat off the bone so it was kinda like a pork stew with a bbq flavor. Yummy! - 2/25/08

  • Making it now in the crock pot, the sauce smelled and tasted so good...can't wait for 8 hours to pass. I had to had some red pepper flakes for the spice factor, though. - 2/22/08

  • WOW!!! We just got done with dinner and let's just say I haven't eaten pork in 18 years, and my very picky husband who never eats pork (this time I told him it was turkey) we both ate it and absolutley enjoyed it. I served it over brown rice and had california medley veggies with it like a stir fry! - 2/19/08
