IntroductionSubstitute some of the beef for turkey, whole wheat pasta and whole milk cheese for part skim and lower the calories & fat without losing the taste! * Ricotta Cheese, part skim milk, 2 cup
* Egg whites (1 serving)
* Tomato Sauce, 3 cup
* Kraft Mozzarella Finely shredded Part Skim cheese, 2 cup
* Ground beef, extra lean, 2 oz
* Basil, 1 tbsp
* Oregano, ground, 1 tbsp
* Garlic, 1 clove
* Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
* Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 6 oz
* Healthy Harvest Whole Wheat Lasagna Noodles, 8 oz
-mix in tomato sauce and simmer on lower heat
-add in oregano and basil
-boil water and boil lasagna noodles until soft
-In a bowl mix ricotta cheese, egg whites & 1/2 cup mozzerella cheese
-In a dish layer 2 strips of noodles, beef/turkey/sauce mixture, ricotta/egg/shredded mozz. mixture and then another set of noodles. Repeat with another layer, topping off with more sauce and a layer of shredded mozz. on top
-Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. Uncover; bake 5-10 minutes longer or until golden brown. Let stand for 15 minutes before cutting.
