100% Whole Wheat Garlic Herb Biscuits

Introduction

100% whole wheat biscuits with herbs 100% whole wheat biscuits with herbs
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1/2 lb whole wheat flour (approx 1.75 c)
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1.5 tsp dried thyme
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp onion powder
    3 Tbsp butter
    1 c. buttermilk or sour milk (can make by adding 1 tsp vinegar to milk)

Directions

Preheat oven to 450. Spray baking pan with cooking spray.

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter until it is the texture of course cornmeal. Add enough milk to form a soft dough. Shape into 12 biscuits.

Bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
