Ingredients

Flour, whole grain, 1 cup
Quick or regular oats, 3/4 cup
Toasted wheat germ 1/3 cup
Baking Powder, 2 tsp
Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp
Baking Soda, 1/2 tsp
Salt, 1 dash
Milk, 1%, 3/4 cup
Brown Sugar, 1/2 cup packed
1 Egg
Applesauce, unsweetened, 1/4 cup
Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
Directions
Combine flour, oats, wheat germ, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl and make a small well in the center
In a smaller bowl, combine the egg, vanilla extract, brown sugar and applesauce. Mix well.
Pour the liquid ingredients into the bowl of dry and stir until combined-mixture will be lumpy. Pour/spoon mixture into prepared muffin cups (use muffin liners or non-stick oil spray).
Bake at 400 for 10 to 12 mins. Cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
