Hummus

Introduction

I compiled this from several recipes on the internet and then tweaked it to lower the fat content. Definitely works for me. I compiled this from several recipes on the internet and then tweaked it to lower the fat content. Definitely works for me.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    240 g (1 can 8.5 oz) chickpeas
    1 tbsp tahini
    1 tsp good olive oil
    5 cloves garlic or to taste
    Juice of 1 lemon
    1/2 tsp salt or to taste
    Paprika (for garnishing)
    Parsley or chives (for garnishing)

Directions

1. Drain and wash the chickpeas, place in a food processor or a bowl and add tahini, olive oil, salt, crushed garlic and lemon juice.

2. Blend or mash until desired texture is achieved. If the mix is too thick carefully add some water.

3. Adjust seasoning and serve as a dip garnished with a dash of paprika (sweet or hot) and chopped parsley or chives. Or double the serving size and use as a side dish.
