These are wonderful! I did add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and about 2 Tablespoons mini cinnamon chips because they were for my kids and they will eat anything with chips in them! They are very moist, but not sticky. You can eat these on the go in the car. - 1/18/10

Take 1: Followed the recipe, replaced 4 egg whites for egg beaters, added a scoop of protein powder. Eggy on the bottom, but delicious.

Take 2: 3 egg whites, 2 scoops of protein powder. The texture is perfect and the taste is delicious. They ought to be about 150 calories, protein about 10g. - 8/21/11

I made a double batch and froze them. I left just one in the fridge so I only had one readily available to me. I added raisins and cranberries. They're moist and tasty. - 3/20/10

This recipe is great!! I also add vanilla. I have them for breakfast every day. I make big batches and freeze them individually. I warm them up in the morning and I am out the door. My sister likes them too and she makes them with sugar. She toasts them when she eats them. Yummy!! - 5/25/10

These are fantastic! I was afraid they would be dry but they are very moist. I even like to pop mine in the microwave to warm it just a bit. Tastes like it just came out of the oven. - 1/17/10

  • They were ok, added 1/4 cup chopped walnuts and sub the Splenda for half gran and brown sugar. Too cakey, wanted something more firmer. - 7/10/12

  • I am thinking about making these..but what is the consistency? I don't want a light, fluffy bar like cake. I was looking for a very dense, chewy bar. Any way I can mix it up a little to make it denser/chewier? Any tips about the consistency/texture of this bar? Thanks! - 12/28/10

  • These are outstanding! I wanted something better for me than the Nutri-grain breakfast bars. And my fiance (who balks at too much healthy) loved them, his only comment was they need diced up apple, and I think he's right! I added vanilla and used eggs since I was out of eggbeaters. - 7/13/10

  • I expected these to come out like chewy granola bars, but they were much more moist, almost like a cake. The flavor was delicious though! My husband and I both loved them! - 4/16/10
