Broccoli and Sausage Spaghetti

Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    4 cups whole wheat spaghetti
    1 cup chopped broccoli florettes
    1/2 diced light beef or pork sausage link
    1/2 stick butter
    1 tsp salt
    1 tbsp pepper
    3/4 cup milk

Directions

In a large pot bring water to a boil
Break pasta in half and add to boiling water
While noodles cook prepare the broccoli and sausage.
Heat large skillet
Stirring every 30 sec, add chopped broccoli and diced sausage until noodles are ready for draining.
Lower heat on skillet.
Drain noodles.
Return the noodles back to the pot.
Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper to noodles.
Mix well until butter is melted.
Add noodles to skillet.
Cook and stir for 5 min or until creamy.

If preferred, chop noodles with spoon while stirring.
Serves 5-6
