BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP

A great party dip that all my friends ask for everytime we have a cook out or party! A great party dip that all my friends ask for everytime we have a cook out or party!Number of Servings: 16
Ingredients
-
1 can Chicken (5 oz) (or similar amount of pre-cooked skinless chicken - chopped or shredded)
4 oz. Fat Free Cream Cheese
8 oz. Low fat cream cheese
1/2 cup Wishbone Just2Good Blue Cheese Dressing or Ranch Dressing
1/2 cup Low Fat Cheddar - shredded
4 oz. Franks RedHot (original pepper sauce *NOT* the Buffalo Wing sauce)
Directions
1. Heat oven to 350°F.
2. Mix together Cream cheeses. Stir in salad dressing, Franks RedHot Sauce and shredded cheese until well mixed. Stir in chicken.
3. Bake 20 minutes or until mixture is heated through. (I like to skim off any grease that has come to the top of the dish before stirring and serving.)
Serve with dry toasted pita or bagel chips, low fat crackers or vegetables.
This can also be prepared as above and microwaved 5-10 minutes instead of baking, if desired ... but I really like it baked.
*The nutritional information is for the recipe as listed, but you can substitute all Fat Free cheeses to lower the calories & fat ... but it does alter the finished taste/texture slightly. The N.I. does not include whatever you dip into the dip (crackers, veggies, etc.) I've estimated about 1/4 cup per serving ... which would be a very generous appetizer serving ... enough for several 'dips' per person.

I use just 8oz of lowfat cream cheese and a 13oz can of chicken- it's meatier than with the extra cream cheese & cuts down on the cals. Love this- can bake it or put in the crockpot! I prefer ranch dressing instead of bleu cheese- but might add bleu cheese crumbles instead of cheddar next time! - 2/7/11

Fantastic! I used 2 chicken breasts which I boiled then chopped. I also combined some lite blue cheese dressing with some lite ranch to get the 'best of both worlds'. I used 2 8oz blocks of neuchatel (store was out of fat-free). Out of this world! I served with carrots, celery & bluecorn chips. - 1/18/11

This was a HUGE hit at my playoff party last night! I added a can of green chilis at the advice of a friend who came early and tasted it and that did give it a little kick...I did not put in the salt or pepper and didn't miss it at all. Melted cream cheeses and ranch in oven then mixed in the rest. - 1/11/09

Oh My Goodness... this is SO delish! I put quite a bit more chicken in as everyone mentioned it needed more... but kept everything else the same - served it with fiber Wheat Thins, Chicken in a Biskit, & Thin Crisp Triscuits. It was a HUGE Hit with my Bunko Group! My hubby was happy to get a taste! - 11/7/08
