My Favourite Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies

Submitted by: MUMMYLICIOUS

Introduction

I took this recipe from the back of the Hershey's Semi Sweet Chocolate Chip package. (the yellow pkg.)

I realise this will not be the healthiest cookie alive but I wanted to calculate the Nutritional Facts so I know what I'm shoving down my throat when I grab one ... they're just so darn yummy!!

Note that the 23.67 tbsps of chocolate chips is equal to one 350 ml package.

Ingredients

    1 c. Butter
    1 c. Brown Sugar, packed
    1/2 c. Granulated Sugar
    2 lg. Eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
    2 c. Flour
    1 tsp. Baking Soda
    1/2 tsp. Salt
1 pkg. (350 ml) Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 c. Nuts, chopped (optional) .. I used pecans only because I had them in the house.

Directions

* Cream together butter, brown sugar & granulated sugar.
* Beat in eggs & vanilla extract.
* Combine flour, baking soda & salt.
* Stir in chocolate chips & nuts.
* Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
* Bake at 375 degrees F. (190 C.) for 10 to 12 minutes.
* If using a tbsp to scoop it should make about 4 dozen cookies. I used an ice cream scoop to get the # of cookies listed which was a bit larger than a tbsp ... maybe 1.5 tbsps? I'm just guessing ... which yielded 44 cookies.

Number of Servings: 44

No! What's mean is that I now have 42 of these things left sitting in my house!!! The funny thing is, just knowing the Nutritional Info, I only had one! Should have used the Recipe calculator years ago!
