Ground Turkey Stew

Introduction

My Mother use to make this all the time while I was growing up. I just used ground turkey but you can use lean hamburger meat instead or add pinto beans for protien. Excellent soup for cold winter days. My Mother use to make this all the time while I was growing up. Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    8 oz of ground turkey
    1 cup of frozen mixed vegetables
    1 cup stewed tomatoes
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    3 small new potatoes
    3 beef broth cubes
    3 cups of water
    garlic powder to taste
    Season all to taste
    salt
    pepper

Directions

mix water and cubes together add raw turkey vegetables, tomatoes and potatoes, seasoning. Cook over low heat until potatoes and turkey are done.

Makes about 6 1-cup servings
