Ingredients

2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powwder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 cup light margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup mashed banana
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, if desired.
Directions
Grease cookie sheets or use parchment paper. Stir together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and cloves. In a mixing bowl, beat the margarine for 30 seconds. Add the sugar, and beat until fluffy. add the eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients and the mashed banana alternatly to beaten mixture, beating after each addition. Stir in 1/2 cup walnuts if desird. Drop from a teaspoon 2 inches apart onto a well-greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
