Number of Servings: 18

Ingredients

    6 tablespoons light smart balance butter, softened
    1 cup packed splenda brown sugar
    3 egg whites
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1-1/4 cups whole wheat flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    2-4 tablespoons of water

Directions

In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Mix in tablespoons of water until its the consistency of batter that will spread out in pan. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans.

Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

Yield: 18.
