IntroductionA green chili using turkey and Northern White beans. A green chili using turkey and Northern White beans.
1 large onions chopped
4 roasted Poblano Peppers
1 lbs of ground turkey
1 -15 oz cans of Great Northern Beans drained
1/4 cup of lime juice
1 TBS of agave nectar (or honey)
1 tsp of cumin
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
Salt to taste
2 cups of water
Using a little water, cook onions until transparent. Add garlic and cumin. Cook 5 minutes and then add to stock pot. Add cans of drained beans. Allow to continue simmering.
Chop peppers in a blender or food processor. Add to stock pot mixture.
Brown turkey in a frying pan, using water. Add to mixture on stove and turn back heat. Add agave and lime juice, cinnamon and salt to taste. Allow to simmer for 2-3 hours until flavors have blended well.
