i love green smoothies and make them often. if you are worried about trying them, use all spinach at first - it is sweeter and less "green" tasting than kale.

also, if you are making this for a vegan check that they eat bee products - some do, many don't. - 1/16/10

Its also really yummy with Orange Juice if you don't have POM juice. Also with Spirlina or wheat grass... more veggies you can't even taste! Enjoy!

  • Thanks for posting this. I just want to point out that this is not vegan because of the bee pollen. I'm sure it will be great without it! - 10/29/10

  • LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. I don't use bee pollen and I use Ruby Red Pom juice. And my blender can't hang so I have to use the food processor, but I have this for breakfast every morning. It's the best breakfast that's ever happened to me!! :) Thank you so very much for sharing. - 7/20/10

  • I'm so sad that mine didn't actually turn green...it's a darker color...however, this is a good recipe! I don't really like veggies but I made this and can drink it just fine! Thanks for the recipe! - 1/11/10

If you make it with Orange Juice rather than the POM it will be green!
