They'll Ask for More Turkey-Soy Sausage Patties

Introduction

Low fat - check! Low sodium - check! Low carb - check! Delicious and tastes like the "real thing" - check!! I make these ahead of time and freeze them and them pull them out and reheat in a microwave as part of a healthy breakfast! The sodium level is actuall closer to 100 mg as the result of "rinsing/soaking" the Gimme Lean Sausage. Low fat - check! Low sodium - check! Low carb - check! Delicious and tastes like the "real thing" - check!! I make these ahead of time and freeze them and them pull them out and reheat in a microwave as part of a healthy breakfast! Ingredients

    1 - 14 oz pkg of "Gimme Lean" Sausage (briefly soaked in water to remove some of the sodium)
    1 - 16 oz pkg of ground turkey breast (99% fat free)
    1/4 cup Panko (ground)
    2 Tbl - ground sage
    1+ Tbl - onion powder
    1+ Tbl - garlic powder
    1+ Tbl - ground red (cayenne) pepper

Directions

Soak the Gimme Lean Sausage in water for 1-2 minutes to remove a portion of the sodium; drain. Mix All ingredients together. Form patties and either bake in the oven (350 degrees,10-12 minutes) or fry in a lightly oiled skillet.
