Introduction

Ingredients

    3 tablespoons butter
    1 cup all purpose flour
    1/2 cup whole wheat flour
    Pinch of salt
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1 cup 2% milk
    1/2 cup lowfat buttermilk
    2 large eggs
    Cooking oil spray

Directions

Preheat waffle iron
Melt butter in microwave
Combine all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt and sugar
In separate bowl, beat together eggs, milk, and buttermilk
Whisk liquid mixture into dry ingredients until just combined
Stir in melted butter
Spray waffle iron with cooking oil spray
Spoon half cup of batter into iron, close, and cook until steam coming out of the iron is almost gone.
