Introduction

This is a recipe of my siser-in-laws back from our college days when we had to make 2 dimes last like a quarter. It has been a favorite comfort food ever since.

This is a recipe of my siser-in-laws back from our college days when we had to make 2 dimes last like a quarter. It has been a favorite comfort food ever since.

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    6 oz noodles

    16 oz 93% lean ground beef

    2/3 cup diced celery
    2 1/2 cups diced onion

    15 3/4 oz can of tomato soup; Campbell's Healthy Request
    1/2 cup water
    1 cup low fat shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Directions

1. PRE-heat oven to 350

2. PREPARE noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

3. WHILE the noodles are cooking, brown the ground beef in a large frying pan, breaking it up as it cooks.

4. WHEN the meat is almost done add the celery and onions and continue cooking until the vegetables are soft and the oninos are translucent. Remove the pan from the heat.

5. ADD the cooked noodles, soups, water and cheese to the meat mixture. Stir to combine all the ingredients.

6. TRANSFER the mixture to a casserole dish and bake for 40-45 minutes.
