Introduction

As a way of adding more fiber to my day, I threw this recipe together and it turned out great! As a way of adding more fiber to my day, I threw this recipe together and it turned out great!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 pound dry pinto beans
    1 cup chopped celery
    1 cup chopped carrots
    1 red onion, chopped
    1/2 teaspoon Montreal Steak Seasoning
    1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash
    1 teaspoon chili powder
    1 teaspoon granulated beef bouillion

Directions

Pour dry beans into colander and pick out any debris. Rinse well and pour into bottom of crock pot. Add enough water to fill pot 2/3 full, cook on low overnight, at least 8-10 hours.

The next morning, pour beans into colander and rinse. Pour into soup pot or dutch oven, add chopped vegetables and seasonings along with 2 quarts of water. Cook on medium high heat one hour or until vegetables are tender.
