I love this! It's kind of like an Asian beef stew. I throw my carrots in pretty early on because I like them soft. I could probably eat this at least once a week, and it's really pretty inexpensive. Thanks for sharing - one of new favorite meals! - 8/4/12

This was very tasty. I too added chili garlic sauce for some spice. I also added onion. I did not have brown sugar so I used honey, and I added white onion when i cooked the meat and added some cabbage to the soup. I put a splash of lime juice at the end and served mine over brown rice. - 2/29/12

This was great! I added some chili paste to spice it up and about 5 cups of bok choy - we have leftovers for tomorrow so it was 6 servings total. Thanks for sharing! - 2/15/11

  • I love this recipe, you can hide extra veg in it, and it always tastes great. This is one of my favorites for weekend meals where i can get it cooking and go do something else while it simmers. - 1/15/11
