Introduction

3/4 c. rolled oats
3 c. sliced rhubarb
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. flour
1 c. granular sugar
1 c. crisco
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. rolled oats

1 c. crisco
3/4 c. brown sugar

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    mix sliced rhubarb, white sugar, cinnamon, and quick oats - place in bottom of 9x9x pan

    then mix shortening/butter, soda, baking powder, flour and brown sugar...blend well, spread over first layer and bake

Directions

350 degrees 30 mins

    Oh my. One serving is half of my daily calorie allowance! I hope someone can slim this one down. I love all things rhubarb. - 12/2/09

    I replace the shortening with unsweetend applesauce and both sugars with splenda choices - it makes a big different but I just put the traditional recipe for people to edit as they prefer
