Ingredients

1 tsp kosher salt
1 lb liguine
3 tbsp butter( unsalted if you like)
2& 1/2 tbsp good olive oil
1&1/2 tbsp chopped garlic( 4 cloves )
1 lb lrg shrimp( peeled & deveined)
1/4 tsp bl. pepper
1/3 cup fresh parsley
1/2 lemon, zest grated
1/4 c. lemon juice(2 lemons)
1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
1 lemon sliced for garnish (optional)
Directions
Makes 6 servings
Boil pasta according to instructions on box
add olive oil and butter to large skillet, let get warm
next add garlic to pan cook for about a minute( don't burn)
add red pepper flakes to pan cook for about 30 seconds
now add shrimp, salt, black pepper, saute until shrimp turn pink ( about 4-5 min.) stirring often.
Remove from heat, add parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, and lemon slices, mix well.
Drain cooked pasta, combine shrimp and pasta all together
incorporate well.
SERVE. ( even better if made a day ahead )

This recipe was awesome! The only revision I made was the amount of lemon juice added,I cut it back to about 1/2 the amount called for.I also added a smidge more salt once served. It was amazing how the flavor developed while I was eating it. It was very fresh,light & healthy tasting.Will make again - 1/16/10

I served this for a late lunch today for an impromptu get together, everyone loved it! I added some vegetable broth which I had simmered with the tails after peeling for more sauce. I worked great with the pound of linguine. I served 5 generous portions and have at least that much left over. - 10/31/10
