Apples and french toast

Submitted by: MURRINER04

Introduction

I love french toast. While in Korea I had to make my own variation of syrup that turned out to taste pretty good. I love french toast. While in Korea I had to make my own variation of syrup that turned out to taste pretty good.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 slices bread
    3 large eggs
    1/8 cup milk
    1-2 TBSP cinnamon(to your taste)
    1/2 pat butter
    Sauce:
    1 cup honey
    1 large apple(choped)
    1/2 pat butter
    2 TBSP brown sugar
a couple of dashes of cinnamon, if you like alot of cinnamon

Directions

- put the half pat of butter into a heavy bottomed pot. Let it melt then add the apples. Let them soften while...
-Mix the eggs, milk, and cinnamon.
- add the honey and brown sugar to the apples, over low flame let simmer while stirring occasionally. You may want to add a little more or a little less honey(or thin it out with water)
-In a skillet melt the other half pat of butter.
-stick one piece of bread at a time into the egg mixture to cover it. Place it in the skillet with another sprinkle of cinnamon and flip when solid on the bottom. (you must continue to monitor the apples or they will stick and burn)
-After apple mixture is aromatic, turn of heat and let sit until all pieces of toast are finished.

Serve each piece of toast with a little serving of syrup mix drizzled on top. ENjoy!
