Introduction

I have refined this recipe over the years and my family and friends all enjoy this version. I have made it with meat as well as this version and find both delicious. Ingredients

    gredients:

    * Yellow Sweet Corn, Canned, 1 can (remove)
    * *Beans, Kidney beans dark red 2 cans(remove)
    * Mushrooms, canned,1 can (remove)
    * Salsa, 1 cup (remove)
    * Beans, black, 2.3 cup 1 large can (remove)
    * Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) (remove)
    * Celery, raw, 1 cup, diced (remove)
    * Garlic, 1 clove (remove)
    * Tomato Soup, 1 can (remove)
    * Chili powder, 2 tbsp (remove)
    * Jalapeno Peppers, 2 peppers finely diced (remove)

Directions

Saute the onions, celery, and garlic in a small amount of vegetable oil. Once softened add all the other ingredients and let simmer for an hour or more to incorporate all the flavours. The Jalapenos need the time to mellow. I just put the whole can of beans, mushrooms and corn in including the juice and water. If you want it thicker, drain the mushrooms and corn. You can also add ground turkey or lean beef if you want the protein. This will adjust the protein and fat in the recipe though. Makes approximately 10 one cup servings.
