Healthy Banana Bread

Introduction

Tasty low fat & low sugar banana bread that's good for you! Tasty low fat & low sugar banana bread that's good for you!
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 - 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
    4 TB milled flax seed
    1/2 cup Splenda
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1/3 cup egg substitute
    2 bananas, mashed
    3 TB applesauce
    1 TB protein powder (optional)
    1 TB margarine or butter, melted or softened
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    dash allspice
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/3 cup skim milk
    1 TB slivered almonds or other nut



Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Spray loaf pan with Pam
Mash bananas on a plate
In a bowl combine all of the ingredients except the almonds. Mix well. If the batter is too thick, add a touch more skim milk.
Pour into loaf pan.
Sprinkle slivered almonds on top.
Bake for 40-60 mins or until toothpick comes out clean.
