Turkey Burger Chili

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    * Olive Oil, 2-3 tbsp
    * Celery, 8 stalks
    * Onions, raw, 1 large
    * Turkey Burger, Jennie-O, 16 oz
    * Campbell's Tomato Soup, 1 can
    * Contadina Crushed Tomato, 14 oz
    * Chili Hot Bean (Bush's), 1 can
    * Whole Tomatoes, peeled canned in tomato juice 14 oz
    * Cooked red kidney beans, 1 cup
    * Chili powder, 2-3 tbsp (depending on how hot you want it)

    When you look at the ingredients, I use some different items than I found in the Spark Foods search: I use 'Bush's Chili Hot Beans', but could not find them in search and did not feel like adding them myself! I also use a can of tomato soup but it would only let me enter it in cups.

Directions

In the olive oil, cook the chopped onions and celery over medium-low heat until the onions are transparent. Add the turkey burger and cook until there is no pink in the meat. There is usually a lot of extra liquid with turkey burger, you can take it out if you would like, I didn't but it turned out a bit more soupy than it would with ground beef (with the grease removed). Add the canned tomato products, beans and chili powder. When adding the whole tomatoes, you need to pull them apart in to bite size pieces. I also add salt and ground pepper to taste. This probably make 8 one cup servings...maybe more?
