Jammin' Cottage Cheese!

Introduction

A great post-workout snack - this tastes like the cottage doubles from the grocery store! A great post-workout snack - this tastes like the cottage doubles from the grocery store!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    * 1 T jam (flavour of your choice - I like raspberry, blackberry, pomegranate etc)
    * 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese

Directions

1. Measure out a level tablespoon of jam into a microwave safe bowl or even coffee mug.
2. Heat on high 10-15 seconds or until the jelly runs.
3. Stir in cottage cheese and mix well. Enjoy!

Notes:
+ You can of course use sugar-free jam but I don't use sugar-free stuff. I have a feeling that full sugar jam would also cover up that cottage cheese "tanginess" better and without adding an aftertaste.
+ Can substitute nonfat cottage cheese for the 1%
+ I haven't tried this yet but some people like to use peanut butter instead of the jelly. Twice as many calories though. Another option is blackstrap molasses for some extra vitamins or Nutella as a treat.
+ I think you can also put the cottage cheese in a food processor to get rid of the lumps.
