Ingredients
-
1 Box Whole Wheat Penne or Farfalle
5 Jennie O Turkey Lean Italian Sausage
1.5 C. fresh mushrooms
12 oz Giuliano Peperoncini (about 1 C. slice thin)
1 T. Olive Oil
1 jar Classico Spicy Red Pepper Sauce
6 oz. Asiago Cheese, grated
Directions
Brown & crumble 1 lb Turkey Italian Sausage.
Cook 1 box whole wheat pasta (farfalle or penne) according to package directions.
Lightly saute 1 lb fresh mushroom slices.
Slice pepperoncini.
Combine all with one jar Classico Spicy Red Pepper Sauce in a large casserole dish.
Top with grated cheese.
Bake about 30 minutes until bubbly.
Makes 8 generous servings. Serve with a nice salad and crusty bread.
You could cut sodium by making your own sauce.
Sausage included in calorie count, but this is nice without it, too.
