Introduction

One of my favorites from grandma. Best with fresh okra, but you can have it year round thanks to frozen okra! One of my favorites from grandma. Best with fresh okra, but you can have it year round thanks to frozen okra!
Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    3 cans tomato sauce
    6 slices bacon
    1 onion chopped
    2 12 oz packages of frozen okra (3cups fresh)
    1 T garlic
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

cook your bacon. when done remove it and chop it up. Place your garlic and chopped onion in the pan with the chopped bacon. Dump the okra in along with the 3 cans of tomato sauce. Put 2 cans of water in . Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
