Introduction

Made this tonite for the first time and it was awesome! Ran everything through the food processor and it turned out so good, You could even sneek more veggies in there if you wanted. Made this tonite for the first time and it was awesome! Ran everything through the food processor and it turned out so good, You could even sneek more veggies in there if you wanted.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1/3 c. green onion
    1/4 c. finely chopped red and yellow pepper(may use both or just one)
    1/4 c. finely chopped carrot
    2 egg whites
    1/2 cup saltines (about 14 crackers)
    2 Tbl. skim milk
    1/3 c. bottled chili sauce
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1# EXTRA lean ground beef (93/7)
    1 Tbl. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vinegar

Directions

cook first 3 ingredients in skillet 5- 8 minutes.remove from heat.
mix next 6 ingredients in bowl.(only 2 Tbl. of chili sauce though, save the remaining for later)
add beef and veggies
pat mixture firmly into loaf pan.
invert pan into a shallow baking pan. Cook at 350 for 30 mins.
mix the remaining ingredients and spoon over loaf ,cook and additional 15 minutes.
let stand 10 minutes before enjoying =)
