Ingredients

    6 oz lean ground turkey, cooked
    6 oz turkey breakfast sausage, cooked
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
    2 cloves garlic
    1 can black beans, drained
    1 1/2 tsp chili powder (or to taste)
    1 tsp ground cayenne pepper (or to taste)
    1 1/2 tsp ground cumin

Directions

In a skillet prepared with cooking spray, add onion, garlic, and jalapeno. Cook for 2 minutes over medium heat. Add cooked ground turkey and turkey sausage. Stir to combine. Add beans and stir again. Add seasonings and 1/4 cup water. Cook another 15 minutes or until water is almost completely evaporated.

My favorite way to eat this is over brown rice with a sprinkle of 2% milkfat cheese.

Serving size is 3/4 cup.
