My Tomato Soup

Ingredients

    1 c. unsalted whole tomatoes
    1 T. heavy cream
    1 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. ground black pepper

Directions

Drain tomatoes, reserving liquid. Place whole tomatoes in blender. Add 1 T. heavy cream to liquid; add to tomatoes. Puree (or smoothie speed) until blended. Pour into saucepan. Add basil and black pepper. Heat through (do not boil).
