3 12 oz. Pkg's SMART GROUND Veggie Protein Crumbles
1 3/4 cup Button mushrooms, chopped
1 1/2 cup Green Bell Peppers, petite diced
3/4 cup Carrots, petite diced
1 cup Vidalia Onion, petite diced
28 oz Canned Crushed Tomatoes (do not drain)
8 oz. tomato sauce
4 oz. water
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Using a very large skillet, or dutch oven heat your oil over med high for a few minutes. Add all vegetables and stir frequently until lightly sauteed, approximately 10 minutes.
While saute is cooking on stove top prepare the veggie protein by breaking it into crumbles. ( I suppose you you can substitute a dehydrated veggie protein if you rehydrate it first).
Add remaining ingredients, stirring until heated thoroughly.
Serve hot on a burger bun, garnish with chopped green parsley.
