Meaty Spicy Chili

Ingredients

1 lb. ground turkey, browned and drained
1/2 lb. lean ground beef, browned and drained
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped bell pepper
1/2 cup jalapeno peppers, chopped
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1 10-oz. can Rotel with green chilies
1 can red kidney beans
2 large cans tomato sauce
1 tsp. tabasco sauce
2.5 Tbsp chili powder, divided
3 tsp. garlic salt, divided
Directions
In non-stick skillet on medium heat, brown meat and then drain. Add onion, bell pepper and jalapenos and cook until tender. Season with 1 Tbsp. chili powder and 1 tsp. garlic salt.
In a large pot, mix tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, rotel, beans and tabasco sauce. Stir in meat mixture. Add 1.5 Tbsp chili powder and 2 tsp. garlic salt. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes to allow flavors to combine.
Makes 8 2-cup servings.
