sweet & sour turkey meatballs

Ingredients

2 egg whites
11/4 lbs ground turkey
3 tbsp dry bread crumbs
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 (16oz) can crushed pineapple
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup vinegar
2tbsp low sodium soy sauce
1 large green pepper, cut into 1/4 inch squares
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
Directions
In a large bowl, beat egg whites slightly. Add turkey, bread crumbs, and onion powder. Mix well. Form into 24 meatballs.
Heat oil in large skillet. Cook meatballs in skillet over medium-high heat util brown. Drain oil.
In a bowl, combine juice/water mixture, brown sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce. Mix and pour over meatball in skillet. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in pineapple and green peppers. Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
In a cup, mix cornstarch and water. Stir into skillet. Simmer 5 minutes more, stirring constantly until sauce is thickened and clear.
Serve over rice.
