Slow-Cooked Low-Carb Brisket

Introduction

Ingredients

    Marinade:
    8 oz low-carb beer
    soy sauce
    garlic
    dehydrated chopped onion

    Sauce:
    4 oz low-carb beer
    Worchestershire sauce
    2 cubes beef bouillion
    1 Tbsp dry mustard
    3 Tbsp tomato paste
    1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced

Directions

1) Mix marinade and pour into a large ziploc bag. Place trimmed brisket in ziploc and set aside in fridge overnight (up to 24 hours).

2) Mix remaining ingredients, except onion slices, and pour into bottom of the slow cooker. Remove meat from ziploc and discard leftover marinade. Place brisket in slow cooker, turing to thoroughly coat with sauce.

3) Place onion slices on top of and to the sides of the brisket. Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours. Let stand on cutting board for 10 minutes before cutting. Slice across the grain of the meat.
