Hamburger Tater tot casserole

Ingredients

    1 bag tater tots
    2 cups shredded cheddar cheese(RF)
    1 can cream of mushroom soup( RF)
    1 cup sour cream(RF)
    1 lb lean ground beef

Directions

brown beef, drain fat. Once cooled, combine with everything but the tater tots. This will be the meat mixture.
Layer tater tots on bottom of ungreased 8x11 pan
Add meat mixture on top
Layer remainder of tater tots on top
Cook on 350 for 30-40 minutes

    I have made this for years but always put beef mixture on the bottom, 2 can of beans or corn or half and half them the soup mixture and top with tator tots...I have never put cheese in. - 10/16/10

    Extremely Easy to make (I hate too many ingredients in recipes, so this was perfect) This was actually quite good...seemed a little heavy on the tater tots, but overall was worth it. I have a very picky 11 year old who ate his whole portion. DEFINITELY, will make again. - 6/24/10

  • I added some vegeis and used cheese soup. Instead of the tater tots next time I am going to use egg noodles or a whole wheat pasta, as we found the tater tots to heavy. - 3/26/08

  • SO GOOD I had a hard time keeping to my portion size. I added some red and green peppers to give it a little flavor, and saved some cheese to put on top. A bit of a splurge on calories, but well worth it. - 8/7/07
