Ingredients

    Used four bay leaves, not crushed.

Directions

Rinse white beans, then cover generously with water and 1 teaspoon of baking soda (helps remove gas causing ingredients), bring to boil, simmer for one hour. Rinse off beans, cover with water, add ham bone and ham, and the rest of ingredients. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 1 hour.
