Introduction

Found this recipe but adjusted to what we had in the house. You can really add whatever you like to it.

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    * Steel Cut Oats, dry, 2 cup
    * Water, tap, 6-8 cup
    * Brown Sugar, .5 cup, packed
    * Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp


    This time we added Raisins, 3 cups (not packed), next time I am going to try 2 apples instead. It was just too much raisins for this girl.
    Really you can add whatever dried fruit you would want. Also we put the raisin in with all the other ingredients as the original instructions said and the raisins lost all their texture. I would wait next time and use less

Directions

Put all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low 6-8 hours. If you're planning to cook the oatmeal 8 hours or longer, use 8 cups of water. If you want to cook it less than 8 hours, use 6 cups of water.

Also I used a crockpot liner (love love love those things!) but you will need to spray it cooking spray or something otherwise it will not end well for all involved ;)
