1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
    2 soup cans water
    4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (8 biscuits)

Directions

1. Mix all ingredients, except biscuits, in 4 1/2-quart CROCK-POTŪ slow cooker.
2. Cut biscuits into quarters and gently stir into mixture. Cover; cook on LOW 4 to 6 hours.

Foods don't lose as much moisture during slow cooking as they can during conventional cooking, so
follow the recipe guidelines for best results.

  • our family loves this. Added some mixed frozen veggies. I make mine on the stove top, and put into a 13x9 dish. heat the biscuits on pan in the oven for half the time it calls for and then put the biscuits on top of the mixture and put in oven for a bit more. Easy to make ahead of time and warm up - 4/17/11

  • This is an AWESOME and extremely EASY dish to prepare! I added 1/2 Cup fresh mushrooms, celery & 3/4 Cup chopped carrots. It wasn't as thick as I like, so I mixed a little cornstarch & water to add to thicken it up. It was a little "peppery" so I'll use less next time. I will make this again! - 10/27/10

  • My Family Loved This! However, I super simplified it by only using the chicken, cream of chicken soup with the buttermilk biscuit dumplings. Very simple but very satisfying. The family is already requesting it again! - 8/10/10
