Mom D's Homemade Chili

Introduction

My mom has made this chili for me since I was a child. Tastes great with lean ground beef or turkey. Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    - 1 lbs ground turkey (or lean ground beef)
    - 3 6oz cans of tomato juice, no salt added
    - Chili powder to taste (I add around 2-3 Tbsp)
    - 1 can of light red kidney beans, drained

Directions

Brown turkey and drain any grease, return to pan/pot. Add tomato juice, kidney beans and chili powder and bring to boil. Turn down and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Once the chili is simmering I make the corn bread and by the time the bread is done the chili is ready!

Makes 4 1 cup servings
