Chicken and dumplings

A comfort food without all the fat and calories A comfort food without all the fat and calories
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    3 skinless chicken breasts
    6 cups low sodium chicken broth
    1 cup sliced onions
    1 cup sliced celery
    1 can peas
    1 can carrots
    1 1/3 cups Bisquick Heart Smart
    6 Tbsp fat free milk

Directions

Bake or boil 3 chicken breasts. Cut into small chunks or shred. Add to broth with onions and celery. Once vegies are tender to your liking add canned peas and carrots. (You may use fresh instead of canned - if you do just add with onions and celery so they may cook til tender)

Combine 1 1/3 cups of Bisquick Heart Smart and 6 Tbsp fat free milk. Mix til doughy.

Drop spoon fulls of dough into simmering broth mixture. Let cook uncovered 10 mins and then cover and cook an additional 10 mins.
