Cod au Gratin

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    2 cups milk
    1.5 cups grated cheese
    2.5 cups fish (boiled for 10-15 min)
    2 tbsp flour
    3 tbsp margarine
    0.5 tsp salt (or to taste)
    dash pepper (or to taste)

Directions

Cook fish and flake. Melt margarine in saucepan. Add flour slowly while stirring. Add milk a little at a time stirring to blend. Add pepper and salt. Raise temperature and stir until thickened.

Lightly grease baking dish. Cover bottom with sauce, then layer of fish and then a layer of cheese. Alternately layer sauce, fish and cheese ending with sauce on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes until brown on top.

Makes 6 - 0.5cup servings.
